Hi, on a Ceph cluster deployed with cephadm the orchestrator installs a config file /etc/logrotate.d/cephadm automatically to rotate its logfile. This creates a conflict when the ceph-common package is also installed: Aug 25 00:00:03 cephtest21 logrotate[203869]: error: cephadm:2 duplicate log entry for /var/log/ceph/cephadm.log Aug 25 00:00:03 cephtest21 logrotate[203869]: error: found error in file cephadm, skipping The package ceph-common contains the command line clients and the config file /etc/logrotate.d/ceph-common for all /var/log/ceph/*.log Logrotate is not able to run any more and logfiles do not get rotated at all. This is bad. I tried to remove /etc/logrotate.d/cephadm but it gets automatically re-created. IMHO cephadm should only create this file if the ceph-common file is not present.
