You can deploy any number of mons. But certain amount of mons do not help increase availability. Normally 5 is recommended number. If there is corruption, you can safely take one down and still have one extra before you lose quorum. With 7 mons you can lose 3 and so on. With 4 you are still allowed to only lose 1 before losing quorum.
