What happens if bluestore_min_alloc_size setting to 1MB

Dear Ceph folks,

One of my use case would be storing big media files such as video surveillance and video editing, ca 1PB, probably on CephFS. I am thinking of maximize read/write throughput.

One thing i am thinking of, is to set bluestore_min_alloc_size to 1MB, with intention to 1) reducing CPU processing, and 2) increasing sequential feature of data placement, so as to increase throughput.

What happens if bluestore_min_alloc_size setting to 1MB ? What should i pay attention to?

Kind regards,

Samuel
