Hello Carsten, as an fyi, there is actually a bootstrap flag specifically for clusters intended to be one node called "--single-host-defaults" (which would make bootstrap command "cephadm bootstrap --mon-ip <ip> --single-host-defaults") if you want some better settings for single node clusters. As for nothing showing up in "ceph orch" commands, this might be a long shot, but could you try doing them using the cephadm shell ( https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/cephadm/install/#enable-ceph-cli) rather than directly invoking ceph-common packages? I haven't seen this before issue before so I'm sort of trying to think of anything that could possibly affect this. Also, "ceph orch ps" list the daemons in the cluster that cephadm is aware of and "ceph orch ls" lists the services that cephadm is aware of ( https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/cephadm/services/#service-status). The difference between daemons and services is documented a little bit here https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/mgr/orchestrator/#orchestrator-cli On Tue, Nov 9, 2021 at 8:59 AM Scharfenberg, Carsten < c.scharfenberg@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > I’m trying to setup a single-node ceph “cluster”.
