On client machine, cannot create rbd disk via libvirt and rbd commands hang

Hello,

I'm working on testing the Pacific release and I'm having trouble connecting a libvirt rbd client to my newly created cluster.

I followed https://docs.ceph.com/en/pacific/cephadm/install/, as well as https://docs.ceph.com/en/pacific/rbd/libvirt/ but, while I'm able to run ceph commands just fine (e.g., "ceph -s", "ceph osd lspools", etc.), I'm not able to run "rbd commands at all -- the command just hangs.

I thought maybe it might have to do with the firewall but it fails even after disabling the firewall (on the admin/mon machine).

Anyone have any ideas how I can troubleshoot this further? Attaching to the rbd process that is hanging shows:

strace: Process 7723 attached
futex(0x7ffe7b341fb8, FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE, 0, NULL

Thanks in advance for any advice.
