Is it, though?  Was the experience really any different before “Stream” was appended to the name?  We still saw dot releases and package updates.  Unless you froze (*) a local copy of the package repository, you still ended up with non-identical systems.


* Which is best practice for *any* OS, Stream or otherwise.

Lots more prebuilt packages.  Moreover, upstream Ceph is built and tested on Ubuntu.
