For upmap, you can see all the upmap items in your osdmap via `ceph osd dump | grep upmap` pg autoscaler and upmap are 2 different things. Upmaps are used mainly by the ceph balancer (if in upmap mode) to provide a better data distribution among your OSDs. You can also manually set upmaps. The auto-scaler is used to dynamically add/remove PGs on pools based on the size of your cluster and the amount of data in your pools so they are somewhat complimentary. I believe assimilate-conf will just read your local ceph.conf and add the config to the centralized conf. If you have different configs on different servers there's going to be some manual work involved as they will overwrite each other on import. Iirc you can use something like `ceph config set <crush_bucket_type>:<crush_bucket_name> <osd|mon|global|...> <options> <value>` to apply a config option to a subset of OSDs.
