yes, I have it in the ceph.conf
rbd default features = 125
and the features are enabled:
ceph1:~ # rbd info rbd-pool1/cloud7 | grep features
features: layering, exclusive-lock, object-map, fast-diff, journaling

The import eventually succeeds and the image is fine (md5sum on the
remote image is correct), but I'm wondering what snapshot it is
looking for since there aren't any (yet). Here's some info about the
image (not sure if it's relevant):
