The perf dump for the MDS includes an "ino+", "ino", and "ino- " (same
for "dn") which tells you how many inodes have been added to the cache
("+"), in cache (""), and removed ("-"). You can tell if you're
getting a lot of cache misses if you're seeing a lot of growth in ino+
and ino-.
