Aha, yes, that does help ! I tried a lot of variations but couldn't quite get it to work so used the simpler alternative instead.

I struggled with this myself yesterday and found that the relevant
argument is not really documented:

monmaptool --create --addv ID [v1:ip:6789,v2:ip:3300] /path/to/monmap
