Rebuilding RGW bucket indices from objects

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

This is sort of related to my email yesterday, but has anyone ever rebuilt a bucket index using the objects themselves?

It seems to be that it would be possible since the bucket_id is contained within the rados object name:

# rados -p .rgw.buckets.index listomapkeys .dir.default.56630221.139618
error getting omap key set .rgw.buckets.index/.dir.default.56630221.139618: (2) No such file or directory
# rados -p .rgw.buckets ls | grep default.56630221.139618
default.56630221.139618__shadow_.IxIe8byqV61eu6g7gSVXBpHfrB3BlC4_1
default.56630221.139618_backup.20181214
default.56630221.139618_backup.20181220
default.56630221.139618__shadow_.GQcmQKfbBkb9WEF1X-6qGBEVfppGKEJ_1
...[ many more snipped ]...

Thanks,
Bryan
