Ceph tech talk tomorrow: NooBaa data platform for distributed hybrid clouds

Hi everyone,

First, this is a reminder that there is a Tech Talk tomorrow from Guy
Margalit about NooBaa, a multi-cloud object data services platform:

Why, you might ask?

There is a lot of interest among many Ceph developers and vendors to
expand our multi-cloud, inter-cluster capabilities, especially in the
object space. That would include replicating object data across cluster
and public clouds, intelligently placing buckets, managing migration of
buckets between sites, and allowing all of that (and more) to be driven by
policy instead of human operators.

We'd like to understand the level of interest in these capabilities among
Ceph users, expanding the scope of Ceph to include management of data as
well as the persistence part of storage we traditionally focused on, and
ultimately determine whether and how we can integrate NooBaa and RGW to
provide the full set of capabilities.

If you're interested in the future direction of object storage, and how
Ceph can play well in a multi-cloud, hybrid cloud world, I encourage you
to join tomorrow or catch the recording!
