Re: PG problem after reweight (1 PG active+remapped) [solved]

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi Wiko,

I would like to express my gratitude. Indeed setting tunables to optimal solved the issue!

But it was a nightmare for 4 days, OMG! 54% data moving, mon loosing sync every a few seconds, osds going  down continuously, false osds marking down, mon elections every like a few seconds, client io had seconds of latency or not working at all...

So everyone with possible the same error beware for a very stressful rebalance. Make sure network settings, timeouts in osd+mons, time is synced, backfilling low values etc are configured.

Regards,
Nasos Pan

No, but once you enable them and you thinkg the rebalance is too big,
just insert the old map.

No, this seems like a CRUSH mapping issue.

If you aren't using that pool, just removing it would be enough to
crrect the problem.

But do NOT remove any OSDs as that will not solve the problem. It might
make it worse.
