Is this documented somewhere? Because I would like to try this disk
encryption without lvm.

I thought about just creating a regular bluestore disk, and then use
dmcrypt on the 'ceph block' partition and use crypttab to automatically
mount it. And then have ceph use this device dmcrypt device by changing
/var/lib/ceph/osd/ceph-xx/block and
/var/lib/ceph/osd/ceph-xx/block_uuid, but that does not seem to work.

[@-]# ceph-disk prepare --bluestore --zap-disk --dmcrypt /dev/sdg

Creates these 3 why?

drwxr-x--- 14 ceph ceph  200 May 31 19:14 ..
drwxr-xr-x  3 root root 1024 May 31 22:24
93bce5fa-3443-4bb2-bb93-bf65ad40ebcd
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root   62 May 31 22:24
d29c5890-9b02-46da-b7b1-24fcb04793df ->
/var/lib/ceph/osd-lockbox/93bce5fa-3443-4bb2-bb93-bf65ad40ebcd
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root   62 May 31 22:24
20fe293d-3223-4c9b-adf6-b31a94c05e53 ->
/var/lib/ceph/osd-lockbox/93bce5fa-3443-4bb2-bb93-bf65ad40ebcd
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root   62 May 31 22:24
dd00fba7-4528-4f78-a0d4-ee32a2bbae28 ->
/var/lib/ceph/osd-lockbox/93bce5fa-3443-4bb2-bb93-bf65ad40ebcd
drwxr-xr-x  3 root root  182 May 31 22:24 .

Why is there only one partition?
Number Start (sector) End (sector) Size Code Name
   5            2048           22527   10.0 MiB    FFFF  ceph lockbox

While a 'normal' osd has
Number Start (sector) End (sector) Size Code Name
   1            2048          206847   100.0 MiB   FFFF  ceph data
   2          206848      5860533134   2.7 TiB     FFFF  ceph block
