In any modern distribution, you should be fine.

Hello Everyone,

We are considering to buy 4Kn block sized disks to use with Ceph. These disks report native 4kB blocks to OS rather than using 512-byte emulated 4kB sectors.

Are there any known issues about using 4Kn disks with Ceph? Are there any recommended mkfs options to use with these disks with XFS? We use the following options with 512e sector disks now.

osd_mkfs_options_xfs = -m crc=1,finobt=1 -f -i size=2048

Best regards,

Huseyin
