On MDS nodes, by default only the first you add is active: The others joins the cluster as standby MDS daemons. When the active fails, then an standby MDS becomes active and continues with the work.


Thanks, it is possible to add this information here http://docs.ceph.com/docs/master/cephfs/createfs/ to improve the documentation?
