Agree on that. What about moving the event to the next OpenStack Summit in Sydney, let say directly following the Summit. Not sure how many people already plan to go to Sydney from the Ceph Community, but this way the 10-20 h flight (depending on your location) would probably make much more sense, than for 3 days only.
