Just to add, the rados command will block until the objects are stored on sufficient number of OSD’s and you should also be able to check the return code to confirm that there wasn’t any errors as well.

When the primary OSD for a PG Acks to the client it knows that it is stored on ALL replicas.

RADOS/Ceph always writes synchronous.
