Removing objects and bucket after issues with placement group

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi group,

A couple of weeks ago I ran into a couple of issues with an incomplete placement group.

Luckly the data inside that PG was not relevant at all, so we decided to simply remove it completely (using the flag osd_find_best_info_ignore_history_les).

However, now I cannot remove the bucket (and the user) that was holding this data.

So far I have tried:

radosgw-admin --uid=“XXXX" bucket check --bucket=“YYYY” --fix
radosgw-admin --uid=“XXXX" bucket rm --bucket=“YYYY" --purge-objects

The --purge-objects options just hangs, and nothing happens.

Using an S3 client also didn’t work, as expected I’m unable to read or remove the data (although everything is being listed accordingly to what we had in the broken placement group).

Has anyone ever went through this situation?

Kind regards,
