In my deployment, I have slow requests when starting OSD with 2.5+ TB used on it. Due to slowdowns on start, I have to start osds manual, one by one, to not overload host, but 2.5 TB+ loaded osds causes slow requests anyway :( THis is true for 6 TB HGST HDN726060ALE610 HDD connected to SATA2 iface, ubuntu 14.04, 4.2.0-34, ceph hammer 0.94.6 from Ubuntu cloud team. -- WBR, Max A.
