Hi,

Just a followup on this thread. I was about to try the 4.5-rc6 kernel when I realized I hadn't tried the 4.2 kernel available via the linux-generic-lts-wily ubuntu package. I figured it wouldn't hurt to try and would at the very least provide another data point. I have not seen a single failure since upgrading. My test case has been running successfully on a 4.2 kernel ever since. I can pretty reliably reproduce this on a 3.19 kernel, but a 4.2 kernel has been solid for a week now.

4.5-rc6 is already available.  4.4.4 should come out shortly.
