"Remote journal"? No, don't do it even if it'd be possible via NFS or any kind of network-FS.

You could always keep the journal on HDD (yes, I know it's not what You wanted to achieve, but I don't think that setting journal on remote machine would be a good idea in any way)

I see that we can change journal path in ceph.conf, but this is a path when journal and osd are on the same node, so i am not sure how to set the journal path when it's on a different node of the osd..

Any help would be highly appreciated! Just wondering if ceph could do this!
