And the osd tree:

0  7.27060         osd.0      up  1.00000          1.00000

1  7.27060         osd.1      up  1.00000          1.00000

2  7.27060         osd.2      up  1.00000          1.00000

the default CRUSH rulesets distribute PG replicates across hosts. With a single host the rules are not able to find a second OSD for the replicates.

Solutions:
- add a second host     - or -
- change CRUSH ruleset to distribute based on OSDs instead of hosts.

Burkhard
