Subject: RadosGW - multiple dns names

We have multiple interfaces on our Rados gateway node, each of which is assigned to one of our many VLANs with a unique IP address.

Is it possible to set multiple DNS names for a single Rados GW, so it can handle the request to each of the VLAN specific IP address DNS names?

Not yet, however, the upcoming hammer release will support that (hostnames will be configured as part of the region).

I tested this using Hammer ( 0.94.2) and it doesn't seem to work. I'm just adding multiple "rgw dns name" lines to the configuration. Did it make Hammer, or am I doing it the wrong way? I couldn't find any docs either way...

Yehuda

eg.
rgw dns name = prd-apiceph001
rgw dns name = prd-backendceph001
etc.
