Hi Shane,
We (Bloomberg) have many large clusters and we currently use Ubuntu. We have just recently upgraded to Trusty (14.04). Our new "super" object store that we're building out is using Trusty but we may switch to RHEL because of other departments joining in - final decision has not been made. However, our OpenStack clusters will stay Ubuntu.
Thanks,
Chris

Currently we've been testing our Ceph clusters on both, but our preference as an organization is CentOS 7.1.1503 (currently). However - I see a lot of noise in the list about needing to track the more modern kernel versions as opposed to the already dated 3.10.x that CentOS 7.1 deploys.
