Yes, it still diverges from POSIX as described. The sparse file thing
is unlikely to be fixed in the foreseeable future; it's just too hard
a problem within the CephFS architecture. The thing about shorn writes
is actually a little less bad than described: it will only appear if
you lose the client performing them; it's a failure case scenario
rather than a routine behavior one.
