Erik, I updated the doc per your suggestion. As for networks, you can specify a logical "public" network and a logical "cluster" network. You may specify comma-delimited subnets on them. See http://ceph.com/docs/master/rados/configuration/network-config-ref/#id1 for details. I've never actually done it myself.
