where N is the ID of the monitor. Please bear in mind that this command accesses the admin socket and should thus be run on the monitor server itself.

authenticate timed out after 300
2014-03-05 14:36:43.705029 7fb065058700  0 librados: client.admin
authentication error (110) Connection timed out
Error connecting to cluster: TimedOut

Here is another example:-

# ceph -w
^CError connecting to cluster: InterruptedOrTimeoutError

This will hang, until interrupted.
