Hi, The slides I use are at http://www.slideshare.net/Inktank_Ceph/erasure-codeceph . What does not show is the erasure code simulation we did ( 3 min altogether ) where 4 designated volunteers played bits in a replicated scenario and, using the XOR table found on slide three we showed how to achieve the same level of resilience with only three. I don't know if someone took pictures of that. The other presentations were live and non recorded I'm afraid. The next meetup will be during a conference ( http://www.meetup.com/Ceph-in-Paris/events/164818312/ ) and maybe someone is willing to ask for a conference room ? A Ceph round table the same day ? To complement the informal meetup with a more conference like session ? Just an idea ;-) Cheers On 18/02/2014 18:05, Alexandre DERUMIER wrote: >>> They were in french unfortunately. > > Hi, I'm interested by the french presentations ;) > > ----- Mail original ----- > > De: "Loic Dachary" <loic@xxxxxxxxxxx> > À: "Karan Singh" <karan.singh@xxxxxx> > Cc: "ceph-users" <ceph-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>, "Ceph Community" <ceph-community@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Envoyé: Mardi 18 Février 2014 17:42:24 > Objet: Re: Paris Ceph meetup > > > > On 18/02/2014 17:05, Karan Singh wrote: >> Sounds great Loic >> >> Is it possible for you to share these presentations online ? , if they are in English ;-) >> > > Hi, > > They were in french unfortunately. > > Cheers > >> >> Regards >> karan >> >> >> >> On 18 Feb 2014, at 12:08, Loic Dachary <loic@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: >> >>> Hi Ceph, >>> >>> Yesterday evening was the Paris Ceph meetup and it was great to see everyone. >>> >>> http://www.meetup.com/Ceph-in-Paris/photos/20178242/334526882/#334529682 >>> >>> There was six Ceph commiters (Christophe, Guilhem, Laurent, Sebastien, Francois and myself) out of twenty seven attendees. From an organizational point of view, there only was one glitch : we had to hijack a VGA cable from a company located nearby http://goo.gl/M8JyXZ . It is a great ( and free of charge ) spot for meetups. >>> >>> Cheers >>> >>> -- >>> Loïc Dachary, Artisan Logiciel Libre >>> >>> _______________________________________________ >>> ceph-users mailing list >>> ceph-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx >>> http://lists.ceph.com/listinfo.cgi/ceph-users-ceph.com >> > -- Loïc Dachary, Artisan Logiciel Libre
