Advice on pg_num for RGW

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I wanted to get some advice on number of PGs to use for RadosGW. I
know the ceph docs say 100 per OSD seems about right. But how should I
distribute those over the various pools (.rgw.bucket,
.rgw.buckets.index....) ? Clearly as much of the data will go into
.rgw.buckets that should get the lion's share, but how about the rest?
(ceph 0.67.4)

the pools in my current set up:
.rgw.buckets
.log
.rgw
.users.uid (and .email)
.users
.usage
.intent-log
.rgw.root
.rgw.gc
.rgw.buckets.index

We are running on 15 nodes each with osds.

Cheers

Caius
