I have been looking at the src rpm
qemu-img-0.12.1.2-2.415.el6.x86_64
It looks like it there are a number of comments implying
that it supprts
rdb but
qemu -h returns.
Supported formats: raw cow qcow vdi vmdk cloop dmg bochs vpc
vvfat qcow2
qed vhdx parallels nbd blkdebug host_cdrom host_floppy
host_device file
gluster gluster gluster gluster
I most of all like the gluster gluster gluster gluster....
Is that a hint??
I am trying to track down if rdb is actually enabled.
when/if I figure it out I will post it to the list.

(cuttlefish) and it seems to work ok, but I can't be 100%
sure.
