ceph-deploy and config file

Aside from the messages about ceph-deploy saying debian is not supported on two of my nodes, I'm having some other problems moving to ceph-deploy.

I'm running with 2 OSD's on each node, and I'm using a numbering sequence of osd.<node#><osd#>, so node 7 has osd.70 and osd.71. This way it's immediately obvious which osd is where. I used ceph-deploy and it created osd.0, which isn't what I wanted. Is there a way to tell ceph-deploy what number to assign to the new osd?

Also, is ceph-deploy supposed to update the config file? Maybe it's because I'm importing an existing config file, but ceph-deploy doesn't touch it when I add a new monitor or a new osd.

Thanks

James
