Hi Matt,

You are right.  I had forgotten that I didn't allow the gateways to have
write caps because that we wanted to specify placement groups on the
pools.  Thanks for the follow up.

# ceph auth list
...
client.radosgw.cbcbproxy00
        key: #########################################
        caps: [mon] allow r
        caps: [osd] allow rwx
client.radosgw.cbcbproxy01
        key: #########################################
        caps: [mon] allow r
        caps: [osd] allow rwx
