I would advise to install 0.61.3 first. 0.63 is a dev release and you shouldn't be on it unless you really meant to do it.

With regard to those errors, there's two things at work:

1. a bug that allowed a monitor to proceed instead of exiting (as it should) in some circumstances. This bug was still present at time of 0.63 release and a fix should eventually be backported to cuttlefish and should also be on the next dev release; and

2. there was a ceph-mon already running with that id -- but you seem to have taken care of that according to your more recent email.

Now, I cannot stress enough how much I advise you to go back to 0.61.3.
