What is the recommended MTU for a ceph cluster with gig ethernet.
Should the public interfaces and the cluster interfaces use jumbo frames.

I have a very simple direct connect setup with bonded 10GbE and default 1500 MTU and it's doing 2GB/s with Ceph. I also know another guy that's using 9000 and having good results as well. I'm not really a networking guy, but it seems to me that this is more a function of your network topology and hardware than it is about Ceph specifically.
