Yeah, I realize. This is just some proof of concept work I'm doing. My company is looking for a good solution to store log files for hadoop consumption. If I can get ceph & hadoop to play together, and if it exhibits good performance, I'm sure I can convince the higher-ups to wait until some of this new ceph functionality lands in the stable branch before implementation. Thanks for the warning, though. :)
