Hi,

My snapshot is stuck, and I don't know how that could have happened:

root@rd-c2:~# rbd snap rm rd/debian_template@snap
rbd: snapshot 'snap' is protected from removal.

from header failed: (16) Device or resource busy
root@rd-c2:~# rbd snap unprotect rd/debian_template@snap
rbd: unprotecting snap failed: (22) Invalid argument

Can you add '--debug-rbd 20 --debug-ms 1' to that unprotect command
and share the log? Also, what version of ceph is this?

When I tried to unprotect it initially it just sat there for a long
time, then I killed the "unprotection" and that's where we are now. I
can't find a way around the problem.

Do you have a large number of pools? Currently unprotect must check
each pool for clones of the snapshot.

any help is really appreciated.

Wolfgang
