Hi all, Last Friday Stephan was demoing his WiP on Prometheus Altertmanager (https://bluejeans.com/s/sP5Yp, 00:20-00:35), and after watching that Paul Cuzner [pcuzner] has brought some questions in. I'll add also my initial comments to him [epuertat], please add your thoughts too: 1.- Notification icon changes on new notifications/alerts? @epuertat: "Background tasks" shows the number of ongoing tasks, but AFAIK "notifications" only shows the popover (toast). What about an 'unread count'-like hint (e.g.: https://github.com/jacob-meacham/angular-notification-icons)? Is it time to start thinking on push notifications? 2.- Adding alerts to a separate card into Lading Page? @epuertat: maybe just attaching alerts to the involved components? Using AM notification labels/annotations? 3.- Alerts currently configured/proposed? 4.- Recommend changing the name from "prometheus alerts" to "monitoring alerts", to ensure we keep the dashboard from being attached to a specific solution? @epuertat: we already use explicit references to Grafana. 5.- Alert manager IP/port is stored in the config for the dashboard? How is this set - GUI or command line? @epuertat: Currently it's CLI, but we've recently been talking about the settings page. Kind Regads, Ernesto
