Calling all community members who are interested in the designs related to various orchestration platforms such as Ansible, Kubernetes, and Deep Sea. On a weekly basis we will be meeting to discuss orchestration of Ceph. The first topic is around the new Ceph mgr orchestrator interface (http://docs.ceph.com/docs/master/mgr/orchestrator_modules/#). This will allow the Ceph dashboard and CLI to build on top of the orchestrators without being tied to the orchestrators, to get inventory of the cluster, configure each of the daemons (mon/mgr/osd/rgw/mds), and otherwise provide orchestration specific to their platforms. The Rook module was first to be implemented, with Ansible now being designed. We’re hoping to get involvement for a Deep Sea module soon as well.
