I did now. The files don't appear in /sys/fs/fuse/connections/;
normally it does.

Yes, following is the command
['./bin/ceph-fuse', '--client_die_on_failed_dentry_invalidate=false',
'-f', '--name', 'client.0', '/tmp/tmp_iHcTa/mnt.0']

Although I also see the following command (the purpose of which I
don't understand) -
['mount', '-t', 'fusectl', '/sys/fs/fuse/connections',
'/sys/fs/fuse/connections']
