rgw: hard to manage so many system pools in rgw

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi, all

Currentlly, rgw needs to use different system pools to save the system
data such as control pool, gc pool, log pool, meta pool and so on. It
is not easy to manage so many pools and provides the admin views on
dashboard.

Is that possible to mapping all of those pools to all-in-one system
pool? I try to do the pool mapping in zone configuration such as

    "domain_root": "ch-bj.rgw.system:root",
    "control_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system",
    "gc_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system:gc",
    "lc_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system:lc",
    "log_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system",
    "intent_log_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system:intent",
    "usage_log_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system:usage",
    "reshard_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system:reshard",
    "user_keys_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system:users.keys",
    "user_email_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system:users.email",
    "user_swift_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system:users.swift",
    "user_uid_pool": "ch-bj.rgw.system:users.uid",

but, seems it does not work. Anyone can explain why so many different
pools in rgw before, and is that possbile to do some improvement,
thanks.
