I didn't run for long , but, 'definitely lost' is leak according to memcheck. I am not sure how good it is of detecting auto pointers though..
I can run longer and see if anything new is coming..

How big had the per-OSD RSS memory grown at this point?  Looks like we're only seeing about 408K definitely lost and 3953K indirectly lost in the totals at the end.  That's notable, but given the amounts of memory we are talking about, it doesn't seem like we are seeing the real culprit(s).
