Not sure what that might in theory do, but it works:

# ps aux | grep mbd | grep -v grep
root      7870  0.0  0.0 135952  2592 ?        Ss   15:46   0:00 smbd -D
root      7871  0.0  0.0 135952  1408 ?        S    15:46   0:00 smbd -D
