Re: No "you have new mail" message on login

To answer my own mail ...

I've never had to do this before but this is what did the trick to show mail on
login and ssh login:

/etc/pam.d/login - add the following line:
session    optional     pam_mail.so standard

/etc/pam.d/sshd - add the following line:
session    optional     pam_mail.so standard noenv

For anyone who's interested.
