Fedora 12 designed automatically and i need same settings because centos is in the same machine with fedora under vmware ...
the only one difference is fedora's ip address 78.159.97.xx and centos is 188.72.255.189 everything else same

fedora's eth0 has an unconventional route to the gateway via eth0 (the
first line)

this is an odd network, i see like 4 different subnets all mashed up on
the same physical network segment?   who designed this?  surely not
someone with a proper network engineering background..
