As I replied to another post, I think it's unfair to say that HP storage is broken. We have roughly: 30 p400 (mostly 2x raid1) 50 p800 (mostly 12x1T raid6) <10 other cciss and the only problems we really suffer is: * performance is not great * /dev/cciss is not a scsi dev (which is a minor annoyance in linux at times) * 1T seagate drives fail at many times the rate of hitachi /Peter
