I mirror both os and updates, since when you upgrade, you need os rpms too...
So far, updates is small.

3.8G    /IOL/CENTOS_repo/centos/5/os/i386
4.3G    /IOL/CENTOS_repo/centos/5/os/x86_64
92K     /IOL/CENTOS_repo/centos/5/updates/i386
96K     /IOL/CENTOS_repo/centos/5/updates/x86_64
8.1G    total
