I'm assuming you do have an Ethernet card (just not connected to anything at present), so you need a line like the following in your /etc/hosts file. 192.168.250.1 sauron.deepsoft.com sauron replace '192.168.250.1' with the IP address you configured your Ethernet card to and 'sauron.deepsoft.com sauron' with 'mymachine.domain.com mymachine' (assuming mymachine.domain.com is your hostname). > > Jerry > _______________________________________________ > CentOS mailing list > CentOS@xxxxxxxxxx > http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos > > -- Robert Heller -- 978-544-6933 Deepwoods Software -- Download the Model Railroad System http://www.deepsoft.com/ -- Binaries for Linux and MS-Windows heller@xxxxxxxxxxxx -- http://www.deepsoft.com/ModelRailroadSystem/ _______________________________________________ CentOS mailing list CentOS@xxxxxxxxxx http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos
