Is it maybe because 2.45-1.1.el5_3 < 2.45-1.el5_2.1 ??? Since '1' < 'e' ?

I tried to confirm this, but did not find any tool to which I could
give two RPM versions and it would tell me which one was higher... Do
you know of any such tool/script?
