Another way to do it is to add:

exclude=rrdtool perl-rrdtool

to the [rpmforge] repository configuration in /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo.

I don't really know the versionlock plug-in so I don't know if it was
supposed to do something different than what that does...
